2021 Store

Welcome to the Summerfield Christmas Store website.  If this program is new to you, please take a few minutes to look around the website.  We would love for you to see how we usually operate.  Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, we are still having to run things differently than our usual this year.

The Summerfield Christmas Store will open on December 11, 2021.  It will be very different than the past.  There will be new “Rules” and we will have to enforce mask wearing and social distancing.  It will be necessary to limit the number of people in the church building at a time.  So, we will have to cut back on what is offered by the Summerfield Christmas Store experience.  It will be mandatory that volunteers sign up to help at a specific time (we cannot accept unexpected volunteers).

We will be serving pre-approved families by helping to provide Christmas gifts for their children.  Last year, we served 217 children and we expect that number or greater in 2021.   We will allow only 2 family representatives in to shop.  They will be partnered with a “personal shopper” as one shopping group.  Each shopping group will be distanced from another shopping group as they travel through the store in one direction.

Each child will be offered:

  1.  A shirt
  2.  A sweater or sweatshirt
  3.  A coat or hoodie
  4.  A book
  5. A toy (children 13 and older will get a 25 dollar gift card.)

Will not have a childrens area.  We will not serve food.  We will not do portraits.

We will not have youth sort night but will have planned dates for volunteers to come and help prepare for the store and there will also be some volunteer options on the day of the store.

We still need your help:

You can donate electronically through this website under the donate tab (there is a processing fee applied to this method from PayPal) or you can call the Summerfield Peace United Methodist Church office at 336-643-5126 to make arrangements to drop off or maill in a donation.

Most of all, we ask for your prayers.

Know that we are praying for you.

Love in Christ,
Noelle Redmon
